Recycling in MPR

♻️ NEW PILOT RECYCLING PROGRAM LAUNCHES OCT 18, 2025! ♻️ Let’s keep MPR Pretty—together.

We heard you loud and clear: residents want more recycling options AND a cleaner drop-off experience. So we’re expanding our cardboard  (look for the green Waste Management bin next to the Safety Center-  it’s available any day or time of day for drop offs) program with a new pilot collection for:

Aluminum cans ✅ Type 1 & Type 2 plastics (think water bottles, soda bottles, milk jugs, detergent containers) ** No need to separate the cans and plastic. You can leave the labels, caps and tops on. Just throw it all in the wire cage trailer.

Weekend drop-offs only Safety Center (close to the green Waste Management bin) Runs Oct 18 through Dec 31 Fundraiser for Friends of the Mary Ruth Briggs Library

No plastic bags, trash, or overflow—please place items inside the bin only. Let’s do a little better than the current cardboard recycling opportunity: even with the new sign, we’re still seeing items left on the ground. Help us keep the site clean and respectful for all.

This is Part Two of the MPR EDC’s “Mpretty Community” initiative—revitalizing Morgan’s Point Resort with pride, sustainability, and unity.
