- Schools– MPR is part of the Belton Independent School District and transportation is available to all students.
- Fire protection– The MPR Fire Department is located at 6 Lake Forest Dr, is composed of approximately 32 volunteer firefighters and three full-time paid fighters. The average response time is five minutes.
- Police protection is provided by the Chief of Police, eight paid officers and ten non-paid officers. Cis is patrolled 24 hours a day.
- Animal Control– all household animals must be registered (current vaccination on file) with the city. Dogs must be kept behind a fence or on a leash while outside. Each residence is allowed four adult dogs and four adult cats.
- Trash service– weekly home and business pick up. Brush will be picked up if bundled or can be dropped off at the brush landfill most Saturday mornings.
- Healthcare- Medical support is available in the general area (Temple and Belton). The MPR Volunteer Fire Department’s “First Response” team of certified emergency medical technicians assists Scott and White ambulance services
- Utilities– water (City of Temple), liquid gas and both residential and business septic systems
