The Hot on Your Tail MPR Cops vs Robbers 5K Run & Walk is hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary M.P.R.V.F.D and is now part of the Cen-Tex Race Series! and will be held on April 13, 2024. The race starts at 8:30 a.m. sharp at Oakmont Park and runners\/walkers will travel through the neighborhood to the Marina and back (see map on website).\u00a0 A bib raffle will be held for all runners\u00a0and walkers who are present at the event.\u00a0 Awards will also be given for the top overall male and female finishers and the top male and female finishers in each age group.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This race event is expecting approximately 150-200 race participants, plus volunteers along the route, including some participants who enter their dogs to run with them.\u00a0 We want to ensure you know when this race will happen since our pets can become stressed and act out, even for a short time, when there are large groups of people.\u00a0 Even the most docile of dogs can become aggressive when their routine is disrupted, and we don’t\u00a0want that for you, your pets, or the participants. The runners\/walkers will be in your area from approximately 8:30 a.m.\u00a0to 9:45ish a.m., and we are asking neighbors with outdoor or indoor\/outdoor pets to ensure they are secure during this period so your pets\u00a0and everyone are safe.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This chipped-time race event is part of the Centex Race Series and will support Morgan’s Point Resort Fire Department and community outreach projects.\u00a0Come as you are or dress up in costume, run, walk, waddle, or crawl. Everyone is invited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
